Available at Woodside Health Centre
Podiatry- You can arrange your own appointment to see the podiatrist at Woodside Health Centre by phoning 0141 636 8421. Phone in times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
- You can now speak to a physiotherapist who is based at Woodside Health Centre about your problem without a referral from your GP.
- Phone in times are Monday to Friday 9am-11am on 0141 531 9243.
- You do not need to see your doctor first in order to contact the Physiotherapy Department.
What happens when you phone?
When you phone you will speak to a physiotherapist who will take your details. They will ask you some questions about your problem and your health in general.
Once you have spoken to the Physiotherapist we will discuss if treatment is appropriate for you or advise you on the best way to manage your condition.
Occasionally we are unable to answer the phone but if this is the case we have an answer machine, so if you leave your name and number we will get back to you as soon as possible.
If you phone out with these times we will not be available to speak to you on the phone.

Archway Glasgow is a sexual assault referral centre where specially trained professionals can give you:

Chooselife
On average, two people in Scotland take their own lives every day. Choose Life is Scotland’s 10 year strategy and action plan to tackle suicide in Scotland. One of its key objectives is to promote greater public awareness of suicide and how it can be prevented. Suicide can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, social class or culture.

Rape Crisis Scotland
Rape Crisis Scotland’s daily Helpline is for survivors of sexual violence across Scotland and is available to anyone aged 13 years and over and is accessible via Freephone 08088 01 03 02 between 6pm and midnight. Trained workers and volunteers aim to provide initial and crises support, information and sign posting to follow on services to survivors of sexual violence their friends relatives and workers. The Helpline aims to provide an accessible service which includes minicom, access to Languageline interpretation and translated support materials. GAMH -Glasgow Association for Mental Health
This project is for Young people between the ages of 12-18 years who live with an adult who has a mental problem. The aim of the project is to support and promote the well-being of young carers in this role. Our main object is to create a safe environment where young carers can build resilience and confidence, and develop strengths, skills and capabilities through a range of activities and peer support.

Dementia
Dementia is an illness of the brain. When someone has dementia, brain cells are damaged and die faster than normal. The brain doe not work as well as it should.
Often the illness affects memory first. The person may become confused about where they are, what day it is and who people are.
Someone with dementia will often repeat actions and questions. Gradually the person can begin to lose the ability to do everyday tasks. Eventually, they may not be able to do even basic tasks like eating, dressing and going to the toilet.
Their personality may change but the person is still there beneath the illness

ESTEEM
Client Group
ESTEEM works with people aged 16 to 35 years old who reside in Glasgow and appear to have a first episode of psychosis. This may include experiencing delusions, hallucinations, confused thoughts, major changes in behaviour and mood. Referrals are accepted from a variety of sources including: GPs, CMHTs, PCMHTs, and voluntary organisations.
Service Aims
The service uses a recovery optimistic focus to work with clients & carers to develop coping strategies aimed at reducing distress whilst also promoting recovery. ESTEEM actively encourages clients to engage with the service and has a deliberate policy of de-stigmatisation and normalisation. The team strives to break down some of the usual social barriers that normally arise when people develop a psychosis.
Working In Partnership
ESTEEM has close links with PCMHTs, CMHTs and CHPs. The service liaises with voluntary agencies and charities such as NSF Scotland, GAMH & SAMH. ESTEEM also works with a variety of other organisations that facilitate clients in gaining access to housing, vocational training, education and social work.

Scottish Cot Death Trust
The Scottish Death Trust is the only cot death charity in Scotland and was founded over 23 years ago. The aims of the Scottish Cot Death Trust are:
- To increase knowledge and understanding of cot death through research
- To educate the public and professionals about cot death and the role they can play in helping to reduce the risk
- To provide comfort and support to bereaved families or anyone who has been affected by cot death.
